Managing Contacts

Subscribed contacts, manual contacts, and the contact detail view.

Two types of contacts

Cardmunk supports two types of contacts:

Subscribed contacts

People you've subscribed to via their share code. Their info updates automatically when they change it. Marked with a Mutual badge if they subscribe back.

Manual contacts

People you add yourself — for contacts who aren't on Cardmunk. You manage their info manually and can add notes, tags, and relationships.

Contacts list

The Contacts page shows all your contacts in one place. You can:

  • Search by name or organization
  • Sort by name, recent activity, or significance score
  • Filter by tags, relationship status, or activity level
  • See at-a-glance indicators for importance and activity

Adding manual contacts

1

Click 'New Contact' on the Contacts page

This opens the manual contact form.
2

Fill in their details

Add their name, email, phone, organization, and any other info you have. Specify their gender for relationship label accuracy (e.g., "sister" vs "brother").
3

Save and enrich

After saving, you can add tags, notes, facts, relationships, and significance scores from the contact detail page.

Contact detail

Click on any contact to see their full detail page, organized into four tabs:

Overview

Contact info, significance score, activity level, and quick stats.

Network

Employment history and relationships to other contacts.

Notes

Tags, facts (key-value pairs), and free-form notes.

Activity

Aliases (external identifiers) and interaction history.
