Welcome to Cardmunk. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cardmunk service operated by Hanso Pte Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"). By using Cardmunk, you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cardmunk, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service.
Description of Service
Cardmunk is a contact management service that allows you to publish and share your contact information with others. Key features include:
Creating and managing your contact profile
Sharing your contact information via unique links
Subscribing to other users' contact information
Automatic synchronization via CardDAV protocol
Privacy controls for different contact groups
Account Registration
To use Cardmunk, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Promptly update your information if it changes
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Cardmunk to:
User Content
You retain ownership of the content you provide to Cardmunk. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service.
You are solely responsible for the content you share and represent that you have the right to share it.
Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
Cardmunk offers a free tier with limited features, including a maximum of 25 subscribers to your profile.
Cardmunk Pro
Removes subscriber limits and provides additional features.
Auto-renewal
Cardmunk Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews for the same period at the same price unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within 24 hours before that period ends. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
If you subscribed in the iOS app
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings — this is the only place Apple permits it, so neither this website nor the app itself can cancel it for you. Deleting your Cardmunk account does not cancel it either, and Apple will keep charging until you do.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to refund a purchase we did not take payment for.
If you subscribed on the website
Payment is taken by Stripe. Cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for and is not pro-rated. Within 14 days of a purchase, write to team@cardmunk.com and we will refund it.
What happens when it ends
Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. Your profile stays, your details keep syncing, and everyone already following you goes on receiving updates. What returns is the free tier's limit on how many people you can follow yourself — beyond it you see their names but not their details, until you subscribe again or follow fewer people.
Intellectual Property
Cardmunk and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hanso Pte Ltd and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Cardmunk is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hanso Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Cardmunk.
Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hanso Pte Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of Cardmunk or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Cardmunk after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
